Turn Off Maintenance Light on the Toyota Camry
If you’ve gotten your oil changed or completed other automotive service, but the light is still on, it can be frustrating and distracting as you drive around Jacksonville. Luckily, there’s an easy fix to reset the maintenance light on your Toyota Camry. Just follow these steps:
- Put your key in the ignition and turn it to position one (the first setting before actually starting the car).
- Quickly push and hold the odometer button on your dashboard, then turn your key to position two.
- Continue to hold the odometer button for about 10 seconds. The maintenance light should start to flash, and you may hear a beeping. Then the light should go out.
- Once the maintenance light is off, let go of the odometer button, and turn the key to start your car. The light should be off once your Camry starts. If it’s still on, repeat this process once or twice more to turn off the maintenance light on the Toyota Camry.

Thank you, this was so very helpful. I have a 2005 Camry that my new oil change guy and girl forgot to reset.
I have a 05 camry LE,the front brakes start applying pressure without me pressing the brakes? I have changed both calipers, brake hoses, rotors, abs sensors, and most recently the abs module. Test drove it and within 5 mins the front brakes were almost preventing the car from moving. The only thing left is the abs pump motor which has all 4 brake lines running in to it. Could it be that? Why only the front brakes? Please advise? I have replaced the all those parts I listed 3x already from burning the pads up and destroying the rotor and caliper too many times. I do just about all my own repairs and maintenance. Thank you in advance,Robert Bruno
